Prime Minister reiterates support to the Palestinian cause
The outgoing non-resident Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Dr Nasri Abujaish, paid a courtesy call yesterday on the Prime Minister, Sir Anerood Jugnauth, at the Treasury Building in Port Louis, to bid him farewell after having served for three years in Mauritius.
In a statement, Dr Nasri Abujaish, expressed overall satisfaction regarding discussions with the Prime Minister in view of reinforcing relations between Palestine and Mauritius. He further thanked the Government of Mauritius for its unflinching support to the Palestinian struggle for independence which he said Mauritius is one of the countries which has supported the Palestinian cause since the 1970s.
Dr Nasri Abujaish, also briefed the Prime Minister on the current situation in Palestine especially with Israel whereby Sir Anerood Jugnauth gave his assurance of his unconditional support to the Palestinian cause.
